We, Luc, Leentje and our four children, are an animal loving family that wants to specialize in the breeding of the black giant schnauzer.

From childhood on we have grown up with dogs and we want to fulfil our dream: namely to fancy every now and then a litter of giant schnauzers from responsible bloodlines to come true. The well-being and socialization of our dogs is our first priority.

To add weight to this aim, Leentje followed a course of two years to become a dog fancier. Thanks to these courses she came to learn more about genetics, socialization, care of the coat (also of other breeds), the medical aspects, the nature of the dogs etc. Our dogs live with us in our house and can play freely in our garden. Right from the beginning they have learned to get along with our other animals, like pony’s, a couple of cats and poultry. Twice a week we train our dogs in a dogschool . Here they are trained in the tree parts of the international working program (I.P.O.): tracking, obedience and defense working. As we are also horselovers, it is important to us that our dogs can get along well with horses. (After all giant schnauzers are originally ’stable dogs’ and dogs that used to accompany the horses and beercarts.) At this very moment one of our dogs is being trained to accompany our Icelandic horse ‘Kjarval fra Heltra’ during walks in the open air. We also frequently train our dogs to walk next to our bike so we can take part in international organized endurance tests. Furthermore you might meet us at a beauty contest (for dogs of course) or a organized walk.
